Dear Prof. Puig, The installation is failing when it was trying to setup the shortcut link from the menu. Thus the problem that you cannot start ECLiPSe from the menu is expected. However, I don't know why it is failing to make the link. Is there some permission problems with your setup? I have just tried installing ECLiPSe on a Windows 98 machine here, and it worked, so I don't know what is causing your problem. The only difference is that we specified the path for the working directory using `\' rather than the '/' you used, although I would not think this should make a difference. Are you using the latest version of Tcl/Tk, version 8.3? Cheers, KishReceived on Fri Nov 17 17:07:59 2000
