Afer talking to Kish, I've found another slightly more worrying example.

[eclipse 20]: C=pi,X*=C.
type error in convert_constant(pi)
Abort

[eclipse 21]: call((C=pi,X*=C)).

X = 3.1415926535897913__3.1415926535897949
C = pi
Yes (0.01s cpu)

Here the meta vs non-meta call have different results.
