a problem with 5.2

Hello!

I'm trying to get the airline retimer work with the new eclipse release,
but there are some problems with the oldest pieces of the code (ad
1996-1998).

For example, how should I replace read(toplevel_input, X)? It works fine
with version 5.1, but 5.2. says "illegal stream specification in
read_(toplevel_input, X, eclipse)".
