Hello,

I am getting a fatal error in Eclipse, whose meaning I don't
understand:

*** ECLiPSe fatal error: Fatal signal caught in emulator

The context is that I compile a file with a clause with very many
variables (in the order of magnitude of 20.000). They occur in
terms, and all terms are in a list, which is also an argument of
the predicate head. The terms are all quite shallow, and
every variables occurs just a few times in the list.

The compilation works (though taking about a minute). When I
just call the predicate, however, I get the fatal error, and
Eclipse restarts.

Is the list too long, or do I use too many variables? Is there a
possible workaround?

Cheers,
Sebastian
