If one file is corrupted then it is very likely that other files are also affected. The README mentions a known issue when using WinZip for unpacking: You can use a tool like WinZip, GNU tar/gzip etc. Beware of your download or unpacking tool trying to do clever modifications of the file contents! E.g. with WinZip be sure to disable Options->Configurations->Smart Tarfile CR/LF Conversion. In the past, we have also had issues with Windows ftp clients corrupting the files, but I think those were fixed. Please make sure that your eclipse_basic.tgz file has exactly 6822110 bytes, and in case you have used WinZip, try again with the above mentioned option disabled, or try a different unpacking tool. -- Joachim Schimpf / phone: +44 20 7594 8187 IC-Parc, Imperial College / mailto:J.Schimpf@ic.ac.uk London SW7 2AZ, UK / http://www.icparc.ic.ac.uk/eclipseReceived on Wed Mar 13 10:49:46 2002
