I think the problem may be the first > character. It turns out that the problem is completely different: we had a server crash a while ago and lost the disk that holds this ftp distribution. Our sysadmin will eventually get it back online. However, this ftp site only holds older Eclipse releases (up to 5.7). The new release 5.8 is distributed under a new licence (because of a change in Eclipse's ownership) and via a much simplified web-based registration and downloading procedure, see http://www.icparc.ic.ac.uk/eclipse/new_download/index.php Unless you have pressing reasons to stick with the old release, I'd recommend that you simply get a new licence, because new release download is not affected by the ftp problem. -- Joachim Schimpf / phone: +44 20 7594 8187 IC-Parc / mailto:J.Schimpf@imperial.ac.uk Imperial College London / http://www.icparc.ic.ac.uk/eclipseReceived on Tue Mar 15 19:23:45 2005
